Burberry will be strutting it 3D

February 9, 2010

We all have been become aware of the fact that 3D has become a huge success. I personally have to admit I loved Avatar’s 3D effects but the blue smurfs just didn’t do it for me. Burberry has released a statement that their next fashion show, on February 23th, will be live streamed from London (Chelsea College of Art & Design) to Tokyo, Paris, Dubai and New York in- 3D!

The label’s Chief Creative Officer, Christopher Bailey explains ‘3D technology will bring our global audience into the London show space allowing them to see the colours and fabrics, to hear the music and to be a part of that moment when it all finally comes together.’

The 3D shows will be screened at custom-designed spaces . However for us, the less fortunate, Burberry will be streaming the show live on its website in 2D and and will let us fans comment on the A/W 2010 collection real-time via the website, Facebook and Twitter.

Will Anna Wintour ditch her Guccis or Chanels for a pair of those Roy Orbison 3D spex  which we all had to wear? Hah.
